Established on June 26, 1996, China National Aviation Corporation (Macau) Company Limited which is called CNAC (Macau) for short is an air transportation enterprise directly under China National Aviation Corporation (Group). The predecessor of CNAC (M) is MASC - Macau Aviation Services Company Limited which was registered and established in Macau in August 1993. At the meeting of the Board of Directors of China National Aviation Corporation (Group) for 1995, it was decided to change the name as China National Aviation Corporation (Macau) Company Limited on the basis of MASC, to further expand and develop aviation industry in Macau.

The registered capital of China National Aviation Corporation (Macau) Company Limited is MOP 10 million.

Activities related to civil aviation industry in Macau, except for fueling & catering, included of airfreight activities, passenger and cargo operation services, airmail express, retail of duty free goods, line maintenance, ramp handing services, general sales agent of Mainland China airlines companies, telecommunication and accommodation etc.

The predecessor of the company is MASC. Since its establishment (27/7/1993) CAAC in terms of human, material and financial resources. CAAC has sent experts to Macau many times through MASC to provide consultancy and guidance on civil aviation and has assisted in the construction and design of Macau International Airport. Under the guidance of CAAC, the company plays a very important role in the progress and development of civil aviation in Macau. At present, the company adopts the principle of "take Macau as the basis, aviation services as the goal, make enthusiastic development and steady progress" and implements the strategy of diversified business operations and strives to become a modernized enterprise.

Since its establishment, the company has participated in some major investments in aviation industry.

1. On September 13, 1994, the company and renowned entrepreneurs from China, Portugal and Macau jointly established Air Macau with a total investment of MOP 400 million which especially engages in passenger, cargo and mail transportation between Macau and other parts of the world.

2. On September 13, 1994, the company and ANA from Portugal jointly made investments to establish ADA - Administration of Airports Ltd. Which supervises and manages to operation of the airport.

3. On December 14, 1994, the company, together with Ogden Services Corporation - one of the largest aviation service companies in the world and the big enterprises in Macau jointly established MASC/OGDEN Aviation Services with a total investment of MOP 380 million which specially engages in cargo handling, aircraft maintenance and ground handling services of Macau International Airport.

4. On October 17, 1995, the company and the entrepreneurs from Macau, Hong Kong and Taiwan jointly invested MOP 10 million to establish MASCARGO Macau Company Limited which focuses on the development of international air freight services as well as sea and land transportation services.

Except for the above investments related to air transportation in Macau, the company and the enterprises from Macau and Hong Kong have jointly invested to establish TTS Travel Service Macau Limited and MASCOT Advertising and Production Company Limited. The former completed registration on April 1, 1994 and is now operating normally; the latter concentrates on the development of the advertising production related to air transportation in Macau.

In the process of preparing for the establishment and the operation of the above jointly - invested enterprises and especially in the process of bidding for the monopolized airport projects, the decision makers of the company contributed concerted efforts, such as raising funds, cooperating with various partners, conducting a great deal of investigations and research, etc., to successfully win the bids. The successive establishment of these jointly invested enterprises leads the company to write a new chapter in civil aviation in Macau. By participating in the management and operation of these joint ventures, the company achieves the purpose of cooperation and experience exchanges. It strives to become a modernized enterprise with fewer but better staff, which is computerized and highly efficient, exercises institutionalized management, engages in diversified business operations and provides the best services.

Over a short span of five years, the company expended from scratch, established extensive ties with mainland China, Macau, Hong Kong, Taiwan and other places and conducted joint investments and cooperation. It has become a holding company which has a great bearing on civil aviation in Macau - China National Aviation Corporation (Macau) Company Limited. At the very beginning of its establishment, the initial registered capital of the Company was MOP 10 million and the company had only three staff. Now the total assets of the enterprises affiliated to the company have exceeded MOP 1.8 billion and employ more than 1,300 staff, including 250 Portuguese managerial and technical staff, 40 Chinese managerial and technical staff and other professionals from other countries and regions.

Thanks to join efforts, civil aviation in Macau grows out of nothing. Reclamation was made in the sea around Taipa and established a large international airport with advanced radar navigation and telecommunications facilities. The airport's passenger terminal building has a floor space of 40,000 square meters, the first-phase project of the cargo warehouse and comprehensive building with an area of 14,000 square meters has been completed, and there is a hangar with a floor space of over 7,000 square meters where a Boeing 747-400 or two Airbus A320 can be parked.
